It’s been a while since I’ve posted these; the rounded numbers are from Idol Chatter unless otherwise indicated, while SoundScan is the source for all three of Carrie’s albums, as well as Adam’s debut album, and both of the bald mutant’s putrid efforts.
David Cook & The Fangirls’ Crusade

The fangirls at DCO are at it again, declaring their intentions to power-buy Cook’s sophomore album even though no release date has been announced. Of course, ALL rabid fangirls power-buy albums — it’s encoded in their DNA — but the DCO fangirls are quite shameless about their plans, all the while ignoring their true motive for buying albums in bulk, which is to inflate Cook’s sales total in an attempt to make it appear that he isn’t already fading into the background.

It’s hardly a secret that Kelly likes to run her mouth, most often without engaging her brain. Over the years she has engaged in any number of very public battles, starting with Clive Davis — then the head of her record label — and working her way through Perez Hilton and Scott Borchetta before setting her sights on Ryan Tedder, who she blamed for giving her a music track too similar to Beyonce’s “Halo.”

It seems that even the best-selling, fair-haired child of Idol is having trouble selling out venues this time around. The first of the Boxscores are in and once again we see misrepresentation of actual capacity by the venues, resulting in false claims of sold-out shows.
The second leg of daughtry’s tour pulls up lame…

Which is, of course, exactly what the bald mutant deserves. His arrogance knows no bounds, and he continues to pose and pretend that his pathetic act is arena-worthy, even as he fails to sell-out half-house configurations of the larger venues.

Now that the Top 4 from AI8 have released their debut albums, I’m sure you’ve all been wondering what the First Week Sales chart looks like; as luck would have it, I have that information at my fingertips.

Anyone who has been paying attention knows that the first leg of the daughtry “arena tour” was little more than a bad joke, and that the arrogant poser couldn’t sell out a single show, not even in his home town.
Worse still, the venues foolish enough to book the wanker added insult to injury by under-reporting venue capacity in a futile attempt to disguise how badly his “arena tour” was tanking.
But tank it did.
Idols’ First Week Sales: Update

It’s time for another update, now that Katharine McPhee’s sophomore album has hit the charts…okay, “Unbroken” didn’t make much of an impact, selling only 13% of what her debut album sold in its first week, but theoretically it could still skyrocket.
Or not. Only time will tell.
