Television Watching Blues: How Fangirls Have Ruined “Certain” Shows or Put the Telephone Down Sweetie, One Call is Enough

And when I say Fangirls, I don’t just mean little tweeny twits, the older ones are just as asinine. At least the tweens have youth as an excuse (it’s a pretty stupid time of one’s life, and I would never go back there).

Here is another obligatory YouTube, another commercial I find amusing…

Television Watching Blues: Nostalgia or When T.V. Watching Was Simpler (not necessarily a good thing)

Today I am wondering why I bother watching television. A lot of what is out there annoys me these days. I know, I know, I sound like an old fogey.

I will start with an obligatory YouTube, a commercial I find amusing…

Why I Do Like Flying…

Ah, flying, who’d have thought we would come so far from these early attempts…

Airplanes are a pain in the butt. They are handy, but they are a pain. The line-ups, the waiting, security (don’t wear pants with a lot of pockets with snaps, buckles, studs, unless you enjoy being patted down by the officer, I didn’t enjoy that part at all), the very little space if you ride economy (unless of course you luck out like I did on my way out to Edmonton and get seated by the emergency exit), the turbulence (practically non-stop on the way out to Edmonton), and dealing with potential annoying people (which doesn’t include children for me, for some reason they don’t bother me).

And yes, planes do fall from the sky, but not really that often. Mostly in movies and television shows (this one is for you Hezzer).

But I do like flying, if only for this…

Movie Time With kac, Boris and Natasha! Toy Story 3.

Well the other night Boris phoned me to invite me out to the movies, I forgot we had promised to see this one together. And when I say the other night it was over a week ago, opening night.

Yes, it has taken my this long to gather my thoughts. At first I was apprehensive, I hate sequels, and the second Toy Story was pretty good, but I was worried that this would be just one too many attempts to make money off the original film. Even the best filmmakers can be overwhelmed when faced with the possibility of earning a truckload of money. I didn’t think it would be very fresh or inventive.

I was wrong, it was excellent.
