Poated on youtube by The Zodiac Show.
This was Adam Lambert’s debut in The Zodiac Show and the first time he got to perform in total freedom of expression. This was also the first time many people in Hollywood were introduced to Adam. It was quite explosive! We’re so glad that Simon Fuller chose this song for Adam in the finals. it was very “full circle”

Definitely worth reading:
After nearly a year of intense scrutiny, political posturing and consumer outcry, it’s time for the music business to come to grips with its new superpower: Live Nation Entertainment.
At a time when live entertainment remains one of the healthier sectors of the troubled music industry, the combined Live Nation and Ticketmaster stands to dominate each part of that sector: touring, management and ticketing.
and:
The international attention placed on this merger has shined a spotlight on the inner workings of the concert business, not always in a flattering way.
“Some good could come of all this,” says Vans Warped tour founder Kevin Lyman, president of 4fini Productions, which has thrived and innovated by working both with and outside the biggest companies. “The veil of Ticketmaster being the greedy party has been pulled back, and we have now learned that there were few innocents, (with) promoters, artists and their managers all getting kickbacks on the (ticketing) fees.”

Another pre-Grammy article:
In this era of award show proliferation, it’s hard not to smirk at the “once-in-a-lifetime” advertising campaigns for shows such as the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards on CBS Sunday night. Beyoncé is up for 10 Grammys this year and you have to suspect that back at the home, the trophy room is the most cluttered corner — well, except for the walk-in shoe closet.
Still, there is something about the scale, history and reach of the Grammys stage that stirs undeniable emotion in the artists who step on it for the first time. On Thursday, at rehearsals for the broadcast, that was clear in the voices of two artists, Zac Brown and Leon Russell, who are on opposite ends of their careers but will step into the spotlight together Sunday night to sing to the largest audience of their lives.

And one more:
Caleb Followill will be trembling in his black leather ankle boots when the Record of the Year prize is announced tonight at the Grammy Awards. “Use Somebody,” the hugely popular power ballad by Kings of Leon, is nominated in that category and three others. That gives the 28-year-old singer, songwriter and guitarist four chances to get up on stage and choke.
“Our family gets to see it. That’s the only reason I go to the Grammys,” said Followill during a wine-soaked interview at Giovanni Ristorante, across the street from his recently purchased Nashville luxury apartment, a week before the awards ceremony.
and:
Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and Lady Gaga might wind up trumping the Kings for Grammy statues, but “Use Somebody” stands as a song that’s crossed borders and made many unlikely fans. It’s one of only four rock songs in recent history to top four Billboard charts at once, including the mainstream and alternative Top 40 tallies.

From Pulse, two one-off concert dates for Katharine:
Thu, Mar 25, 2010 8:00 pm
Katharine McPhee
Fitz’s Jazz Café at the McCallum Theatre
Co-presented by KJJZ’s Jim “Fitz” Fitzgerald
Katharine McPhee is a bright and shining singing star with a strong and emotional vocal style and a vibrant stage presence. Sweeping to success in the 5th season of American Idol, McPhee wowed the judges and audiences alike with her breathtaking renditions of classic hits from artists such as Ella Fitzgerald and Aretha Franklin.
and:
Tuesday, July 13, 7pm
Katharine McPhee at Whitaker Center
Katharine McPhee confesses she’s been in “artistic hiding” for the last few years. “It took me a long time to figure out where I wanted to go and be as an artist,” she says. “I needed time to learn who I was as a musician.” Once she found the answers, however, she’s been unstoppable…
Well, except for that pesky album-selling thing.
The capacity of the Whitaker is given as “over 600,” while the McCallum Theatre seats 1,127.
