Reported percentage sold (averaged) = 78%

While it isn't necessarily uncommon for a venue to offer different seating configurations, in most cases venues are selected specifically because they can accommodate the predicted demand for tickets.

Whoever predicted the arrogant poser tool could sell out a 16,280-capacity arena was clearly delusional.

No SoundScan numbers yet -- except for Carrie -- so here are the rounded variety from Brian Mansfield at Idol Chatter:

Carrie Underwood, Play On 317,695
David Archuleta, Christmas From the Heart 8,000, +17 percent, 40,000
Daughtry, Leave This Town 8,000, -4 percent, 724,000
Kelly Clarkson, All I Ever Wanted 5,000, +4 percent, 745,000
Carrie Underwood, Carnival Ride 5,000, +84 percent, 2.988 million
Carrie Underwood, Some Hearts 3,000, +47 percent, 6.859 million
Kellie Pickler, Kellie Pickler 3,000, +20 percent, 332,000

Gee, looks like the noxious gnome is the only Idol who saw a percentage decrease in sales last week...tsk tsk.

So you won’t be in the market for Katharine’s second album when (or perhaps IF) it is released in January?

:-D

I checked on IMDB after getting caught out to make sure it didn't happen again and found these gems:

As much as you want that argument to work, it won't. Verve is a small label. They don't care about huge sales. This is expected to take a long time to pick up. Verve has told us directly that they don't expect anyone to carry sales on a name alone, and they have artists who have released 2 or 3 albums under them, but still haven't really gotten big.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1897713/board/thread/150115851?d=150675222&p=1#150675222

Such a un-educated business answer Peyton. Every label wants to make money.
Mcphee can't sell enough singles/albums to make the headway that would forsee her making another album with verve even if they are small as U imply.
Why do U think they pushed the album back to Jan 5, 2010. I doubt if Verve will re-release it.

If you look at the statistics of some other artists signed to Verve, some of them don't sell well at all and have released multiple albums under them.

They pushed the album back to January so they could promote it better. I'm sure they want her on shows, and that was the nearest release date they could do to coordinate it with the soonest available spots on shows to promote it on. Also to give it a bit more time for her to do the smaller radio promo. Like you said, labels want to make money, so they obviously changed the release date because they feel like it will be better for the album and promotion. They wouldn't purposely fail her after spending money on her..

You really don't think verve is going to tell you the truth do U?
Those are Mcphans delusional thoughts and quite funny. Lets see 2 or 3 albums every 18 months, Mcphee is 25 now , that should put her at about 31 or so and still she hasen't make it big. Then what. Even funnier.

Yes I do. There is a Verve publicist who has been answering our questions and has been right about everything so far.

The 2 or 3 albums and 31 one years old thing.....
That makes no sense at all, I have no clue what you are even trying to talk about....

Mcphee is having a hellava time charting on AC and U only need handful of spins to chart AC and the AI is what 0.3 about 50 or so people are hearing her music. Nick her manager hubby has her performing in public parks, walmart parking lots and a few bars LOL. Man not the RCA million dollars treatment yep Verve is small alright,no money to spend on the basement artist, now looking back looks like RCA made a good decision. Anyway good luck Peyton U guys sure need it and them some.

LOL. Really? What an uneducated answer. Also, her song did chart in the Top 40 on iTunes Pop (both songs did), which takes much more

We have no proof that Nick is still her manager but he is starting off slow anyway, just getting her name out there. She is a relatively new artist and is being treated as such. Kat performed as part of a WalMart concert series they have, and there was a big turn out. Taylor Swift has done the same thing before. And the "bars" she is performing at...youre making it sound like she is just being scheduled at bars alone. She is doing radio events, some are located at bars. (I think theres been maybe 2, if even...)

And why do you keep bringing up RCA? You're beating a dead horse. To say it again since you didn't get it the first time, Verve is a small label and RCA is a big label. RCA spent a lot of money, and Verve, being a smaller label, will spend a smaller amount. I don't care about it if you think I do. I don't get why you keep bringing that up....

I checked on IMDB after getting caught out to make sure it didn’t happen again and found these gems:

As much as you want that argument to work, it won’t. Verve is a small label. They don’t care about huge sales. This is expected to take a long time to pick up. Verve has told us directly that they don’t expect anyone to carry sales on a name alone, and they have artists who have released 2 or 3 albums under them, but still haven’t really gotten big.

Such a un-educated business answer Peyton. Every label wants to make money.
Mcphee can’t sell enough singles/albums to make the headway that would forsee her making another album with verve even if they are small as U imply.
Why do U think they pushed the album back to Jan 5, 2010. I doubt if Verve will re-release it.

If you look at the statistics of some other artists signed to Verve, some of them don’t sell well at all and have released multiple albums under them.

They pushed the album back to January so they could promote it better. I’m sure they want her on shows, and that was the nearest release date they could do to coordinate it with the soonest available spots on shows to promote it on. Also to give it a bit more time for her to do the smaller radio promo. Like you said, labels want to make money, so they obviously changed the release date because they feel like it will be better for the album and promotion. They wouldn’t purposely fail her after spending money on her..

You really don’t think verve is going to tell you the truth do U?
Those are Mcphans delusional thoughts and quite funny. Lets see 2 or 3 albums every 18 months, Mcphee is 25 now , that should put her at about 31 or so and still she hasen’t make it big. Then what. Even funnier.

Yes I do. There is a Verve publicist who has been answering our questions and has been right about everything so far.

The 2 or 3 albums and 31 one years old thing…..
That makes no sense at all, I have no clue what you are even trying to talk about….

And the “bars” she is performing at…youre making it sound like she is just being scheduled at bars alone. She is doing radio events, some are located at bars. (I think theres been maybe 2, if even&#8230
