FOR GLAMBERT FANS AND OTHER INTERESTED PARTIES
Here is a live stream of Adam’s entire performance from last night. The video is taken from the back of the arena and isn’t great—it looks like a glittery alien from Planet Fierce is on stage—but you can get a decent feel of the visual spectacle. The audio is better than I have heard elsewhere. Only bad thing, a Danny Gokey song is at the beginning of the stream.
Apparently, during the stream over 3,000 people were watching!

Any guesses how much a David C CD will be worth as a collector’s item one day?
JOHN HENEGHAN tugged a large shellac disc from its brown paper sleeve, placed it on a turntable and gently nudged a needle into place. Behind him, in the corner of his East Village apartment, sat 16 wooden crates, each filled with meticulously cataloged 78-r.p.m. records. The coarse, crackling voice of the blues singer Charley Patton, performing “High Water Everywhere Part 1,” his startling account of the 1927 Mississippi River flood, rose from the speakers, raw and unruly. The record is worth about $8,000.

American Idol lands in Denver
DENVER, Colo. – American Idol fever officially arrived in Denver Sunday morning as registration for the mega-hit TV talent show got under way at Invesco Field at Mile High.
Thousands of Idol hopefuls lined up before the crack of dawn and, by the time registration began at 7 a.m., the line extended a quarter-mile around the stadium.
Denver is the seventh, and final, audition city for upcoming season which meant thousands of performers who either didn’t get to perform in other cities, or didn’t perform especially well, traveled here for one last shot.
The link has several videos pf idol wannabes.

Here is a link to a Denver based blog,Talkleft, a legal/political blog that I read. She has links to a PDF of the Idol personal release (PDF) that aspirants must sign, an FAQ for auditioning, and the Rules.
The blogger is a well-known defense attorney, and here she wonders if contestants, or in the case of the younger hopefuls, if their parents have read and/or understand the release. She then asks a good question, Why do these reality shows get away with these one-sided contracts filled with legalese only a legal expert could decipher?
