HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!!! FROM THE NATION’S CAPITAL!!!
In my Neighbourhood….
I was on my way to Yoga before 9:00 a.m., some houses showed spirit…
People at the bus stop were starting early to go Downtown for the day…
After Yoga I meandered Downtown for a bit…
Bicycle cops…
Emergency people in case…
Thousands wandering around and it was only 11:00 a.m., it gets busier…
Obligatory ballon animals for the kids…

I like how the little one in the corner has her fingers in her ear, hee hee…
I was amazed how this guy could drum so vigourously and not lose the cigarette…
He did some fun stuff, with just an ordinary plastic container…
There was a changing of the guards ceremony, but I could not get close…but that stage you see in front of the Parliament Buildings is where they’ll have a show…

A Belly dancer and her drumming friends, it was OK for this venue, doubt if she’d make it on to So You Think You Can Dance…

Some enthusiastic ladies, like many others, selling souvenir flags, pins, stickers…they were very enthusiastic, maybe they were smoking some of that “weed” I smelt in the air…
I got accosted by the anti seal hunt people and their mascot (OK, I exaggerate, but they did shove their propaganda in my hands) hey, this is Canada Day, lighten up you guys.
In my neighbourhood after buying some supplies, I saw a fly by of the Snowbirds, the flying insane daredevils, the airplanes looked like toys and they looked fake, I think it is because you don’t usually see planes so close while they are flying and in such perfect formation with each other, no room for error there.
So HAPPY CANADA DAY!!! Hopefully the weather holds out.

This is great Kac. Thanks. Ottawa goes all out eh? I do enjoy patriotism when I’m not in the middle of it.
I’ve not left the house today so I’ve no clue what’s happening around here. I have no doubt that the fireworks down at the harbour tonight will keep me awake and grumpy.

Of course there was gravy, I was going to take a picture of the “extra gravy” sign, but I thought, OK that’s getting weird. But no, it was 11:30 and I wasn’t hungry.
