Let the spin, begin.

I think we need to redefine what success is for the Davids. It’s not how well they do against each other, past Idols, or even other artists in the music world. First and foremost, success is whatever will allow them to keep their record deals. Idols get dropped from their labels left and right. Simply being greenlighted to put out a sophomore album, then, has to be viewed as success.

So, let me get this straight, success now means not getting dropped from your label?

Christmas songs?– if he had embraced the possible crooner/smooth guy image he’d started in Idol, I’d say YES! You know how I love the velvety. The problem would be, the audience he is cultivating in clubs and stuff aren’t wanting Christmas Music. Where we might get lucky, is if he did it at a club Christmas Party, and someone snagged it on YouTube…but then, it would swoon some of us, and amuse others.

Way cool! That totally gave me chills!

Yeah it does make Idol look edgy and cool. And promotes David and his freakin massive tattoo. Yeah, can you imagine if you were his GF and woke up to th…….wait; yeah, there is no way that scenario would ever be bad.

I think David looks fine – that’s how he looks when he’s about to go on stage, at least post-Idol. I’m happy that they didn’t try to cover up his tattoo or make him change his usual look. They didn’t do anything to his skin or lips – he’s just pretty that way.

That boy is downright purty and the camera eats him up.

Speaking of Katharine, I took a quick look at one of her threads at the scary boards and there were ZERO posts between August 6th and October 31st.

Then, on September 19th, one of the stalwart little d™ fans dropped by to say:

I just watched video of Kat singing Somewhere on The View accompanied by David Foster. She is more beautiful than ever, and her voice is still a winner. I’m glad she has been so successful.

oh i firmly believe Katharine will be going nowhere…..but up…she has proven herself many times over with the performances she’s been able to do more then once with Bocelli, what an honor it must be for her to be asked to sing with the King of his field……and David Foster, who’s been around the block a few times is the master producer, arranger, etc…knows talent when he saw her for the first time, to quote him “Katharine is a force to be reckoned with” and that she is and will be…she is now with the people that will use her talent to the degree that it should’ve been done in the first place……just wait and see

It makes me sad that so little is discussed about Elliott. I go to the train site, but it is old news a whole lot of the time. I don’t understand, for the life of me, why Elliott is never touring in the US. I live in Las Vegas, where everyone & their proverbial brother, performs,,, but, alas— NO Elliott. I wish he’d tour. I wish he’d put out another album, one with more blues, like the stuff he did at the Virginia State Fair. He was SOOOOOOOO spectacular at that show. I think people don’t post, because there’s never anything much to say. No news about him, etc. I just LOVE that man’s voice, but it’s so hard to find out much about him. It seems to me, that if he just got some exposure & a new album, his career would skyrocket—like if he could sing on DWTS’s or something.

Alas, those skyrockets never seem to launch…

Daughtry still has the title of best first week sale of a debut rock artist of all time. What’s so great is that Daughtry did this without a debut song released BEFORE the album was released and very little promotion just before the album was released.

SIMPLY AMAZING!!

Guess she must have slipped off her leash…

Oh, and “of all time” is a bunch of bull, considering that the SoundScan era began in 1991.
