1978 – Benny Andersson and Frida Lyngstad of ABBA were married.

1980 – Ex-Sex Pistols front man Johnny Lydon was arrested in Dublin for his involvement in a barroom brawl.

1983 – Barry Manilow plays a concert for charity at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The show was attended by Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

1991 – Elizabeth Taylor married Larry Fortensky. The ceremony was held at Michael Jackson’s estate near Los Angeles, CA. It was Taylor’s 8th marriage and Fortensky’s 3rd.

1992 – Prince and the New Power Generation released the “Diamonds and Pearls” home video.

1994 – Glenn Frey underwent colon surgery.

1995 – “Grind” was released by Alice in Chains as their first track from “Alice in Chains.”

1996 – Faith Hill and Tim McGraw were married.
